Some useful advice for those who are getting married
Photos are a silent story of our life, reminding us of happy and memorable moments after many years. That's probably why everyone, preparing for the most important events in life: weddings, christenings, the birthday of a dear person, wants the celebration to pass without any complaints and the photos to be perfect. Professional photographers don't hide it: a good photo is one that, looking at it after several decades, you relive the most important day of your life. Only such photography is long-lasting.
Plan ahead
The proverb says that happy time is not counted. However, no matter how happy the betrothed are, they must count the time very responsibly when preparing for the wedding. After all, a lot of work needs to be done before the most beautiful holiday. Wedding planners assure that those who want to book their favorite musicians, a good photographer or a favorite ballroom for their wedding should start searching and coordinating as early as possible. But it also tells you not to sneeze. It is generally advised to prepare for the wedding celebration a year before the planned date. It is not advisable to start earlier, because a lot can change: not only wishes, taste or understanding, but also the family situation: the birth of a child. Compatriots living abroad who want to have a wedding party in Lithuania should spend about one and a half years for preparations. The latter should entrust the organization of the wedding party to wedding planners, not relatives. How long the preparatory work will take depends on the time of year you decided to exchange gold rings.
The most important thing is the attitude
In our country, where we can enjoy warmth and sun for a maximum of three months, summer remains the most popular time of the year to swear eternal love to each other. Couples who are not on the summer wedding bandwagon are often disappointed. But it's really unnecessary...
Autumn is one of the most beautiful seasons and perfect for weddings. Just think about the wonderful photos against the background of colored trees or the young dancing in a pile of fallen leaves... There are minuses: little sun, cool weather, quite a chance of rain... However, not a single couple who chose autumn for their wedding ceremony testified that they did not regret this decision. According to them, no matter what the weather conditions are: pouring rain or shining sun, both options can be used for a wonderful photo session. All you need is a little imagination and… a good photographer.
When the summer of beans arrives, do the photo session outside - the pictures will be amazing against the background of the clear sky and colorful leaves. On a rainy day, you will only need to use an umbrella or rubber boots. An overcast sky will make the bride's dress stand out more. The most important thing is not to give in to a gloomy mood. After all, you are not guaranteed that on the most memorable day of your life, if you decide to celebrate it in the summer, black clouds will not appear in the sky or a storm will not come.
Autumn is a very favorable time for weddings and because of great hall and table decorations or original gifts for guests. The most important thing is to figure out how to use every detail that nature gives: pine cones, berries, nuts, colored leaves, bunches of rye, cereals or oats, apples and everything else. Nature offers so much, you just have to know how to take it.
Wedding in winter: when hot love warms
When planning a wedding date, winter should not be ruled out either, because it is a time that has its own pluses: newlyweds do not crowd around the registry office or church. Couples who want to get married in the summer must start looking for photographers, musicians or a venue at least a year in advance. Meanwhile, another plus of a winter wedding is that 3-4 months will be enough to coordinate all matters. Especially since weddings are usually celebrated indoors, so what does it matter what the weather is like outside the window?
In winter, neither the young people nor the guests will be tormented by the thought of dripped makeup, wet armpits and a face shiny from sweat, because the fresh air will make them happy (a great excuse to cuddle with each other). And what else do you need on your wedding day?
When organizing a wedding in winter, you will have a better chance of getting all the invited guests, because there are many more people on vacation in the summer than in the winter. Therefore, when inviting to a wedding in the summer, there is a possibility that on that day the relatives have already agreed to participate in someone else's wedding or have already planned a vacation abroad.
There are plenty of ideas for a winter wedding photo shoot: arrange a horse-drawn sleigh, take children's sleds, make a fire in the forest, grab skis, prepare a snack table with hot tea or wine. Bring warm blankets and have fun. And if snowflakes start falling from the sky, you will look like in the ice kingdom in your photos.
Turn on your imagination
The photos of the wedding celebration are only the result of the joint work of you and the photographer. So you need to turn on your imagination, consider the possibilities and get to work.
Every city or town has picturesque areas where newlyweds usually take photos. However, newlyweds in the city, in a crowd of passers-by or a wedding photo session on the roof of the house will look unique in your photo album.
Young people who love nature and romance should definitely choose a photo session with horses and carriages. And photos always look great against the background of water bodies or on the railway. Your imagination can suggest you more and more new and unusual places, and photos taken in familiar or, conversely, unconventional and unusual places will add uniqueness to the photo album.
Photography of the little ones
More and more often, parents pay special attention to their child's baptismal photography. Although the responsibility of the photographer is a little less than when photographing a wedding, but in order to capture the baptism ceremony properly, you need to make an effort.
Parents should know this and that. Children's christening clothes decorated with lace or embroidery greatly enliven the photos. In this celebration, it is very important to capture the participants of the ceremony gathering near the church, so they should not run away from the photographer. Before the ceremony, try to warn the priest that you will definitely want to take pictures of the most important events of the baptism ceremony: when the baptismal candle is lit, when the child is anointed with oil, when water is poured on the head, how the parents and godparents are blessed.
The photographer usually starts working from the very beginning, when the child is fed, dressed, etc., usually after the ceremony, a photo session takes place together with the guests at the chosen place. It is possible to limit yourself to photographing the ceremony, but the changed environment will give the photographer the opportunity to capture more and more diverse photos.
